General FAQs

Where are you located?

I live in Sandwich, MA on Cape Cod.

My boutique studio/office is located at 299 Cotuit Road, Sandwich, MA inside the Today Real Estate building.

If the location of the shoot is more than 30 miles from Sandwich, there may be a transportation fee.

Where do the sessions take place?

Most sessions take place at outside locations (beaches, parks). I am happy to provide suggestions and take them as well.

I also shoot at families' homes and events.

Corporate headshots usually take place at my studio/office.

I'm not photogogenic/ I hate having my picture taken

Almost everyone feels this way in my experience. Making you feel comfortable and look your best is something I take pride in. Plus, I'm super flexible, patient, and I try to make sessions as fun as possible.

How would you describe your style?

I like a natural look with bright, full colors.

I usually shoot a combination of posed shots and families/kids doing their thing.

Do I have to order prints through you?

You are welcome to use any printer for the images that your session allows for digital downloading.

If you choose to not download an image, then you will need to order through me.

I greatly appreciate anyone who chooses to print with me.

What happens if our session is rained/weathered out?

There is no fee to reschedule due to weather. I try to keep some session times available for rain-outs, and I will be flexible in getting you your photos.

Clouds are not a bad thing for outdoor photography, so don't worry if your session has gray skies.

What if my kids are monsters?

I have monster spray...

Seriously though, I have a five year old, and I am patient, flexible, and more than capable of being really silly if necessary. Sometimes those tears or crazy faces they make in their photos, will make you smile down the road. That being said, I'm pretty good at catching that one smile.

Treats/snacks are always helpful in trading for behavior.

How can I make the session go amazingly?

Adults-I need you to smile and look at the camera at all times!!! When your little one(s) throw that perfect smile in between sticking their tongue out, and you are looking the other way or telling them to smile...

Most importantly, try to have fun and go with whatever happens. Going in with that attitude will help your family members to have a similar attitude and will translate into better photos.

Finally, please try to let me coach you and your children. I am happy to hear your ideas and love when parents' notice that little piece of food on their child's shirt etc., but I am there to get the best out of everyone and get you gorgeous images.

Can I keep my photos private?

Yes, I respect your privacy, but please make sure you let me know this. I will send a contract that includes a "model release," so try to remind me to remove this section.

Galleries & Digital FAQ(s)

Do I get to see every image that you take?

The short answer is no.

My goal is to get you the best photos from the session. I take many more photos than are probably necessary and some photos are honestly not worth your time. They include photos that are blurry, aren't flattering, or may have other problems.

When will we get our photos?

A digital gallery will be sent via email to you usually within 30 days of the shoot. You will be able to download your photos directly from the gallery. Prints and wall art have variable delivery dates.
